ADAPT Needs Community Support

February 22, 2013 By eastwickpress

The 29th Annual Hoosick Falls Central School (HFCS) substance-free after-prom celebration will take place on May 18 and 19, following the prom. The after-prom event is organized by the Class of 2014 parents/guardians and is fully supported by local businesses, organizations, neighbors and friends.
Prom and graduation season – April, May and June – is when a higher percentage of youth under the age of 21 are killed in alcohol and drug related accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. With monetary donations, and contributions of supplies for fundraising events and gifts to be used for prizes, from people and organizations in the community, ADAPT will be able to continue the HFCS tradition of providing prom-goers with a safe and fun filled celebration and help reduce unnecessary injury and loss of life.
ADAPT thanks community members and organizations for considering a contribution by March 18. Questions can be directed to hfcs.adapt@gmail.com. Monetary donations, payable to ADAPT, can be sent to HFCS ADAPT, Hoosick Falls Central School, P.O. Box 192, Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090.
Meeting
Parents/guardians of juniors interested in joining ADAPT should plan to attend the next meeting on Monday, February 25, 6:30 pm, in the HFCS Elementary School Library.
Together – as a community – we should all strive to provide substance-free, memorable experiences for our youth.
