Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Bryan Callahan 239-682, Josh McCart 228-640, Logan Brogue 207-563, Josh Conn 208-552, Ken Marbot 192-504 and Josh Reveal 181-503. Jonathan Bossoni had a great 288 (all time high game) – 656 for the JV team.
“The team bowled very well under very oily lane conditions. This was the most oil that we have bowled on all year, but this was a great experience in case we run into this condition in future tournaments in the coming weeks. The bowlers were very patient trying to find the right line to play on these difficult lane conditions. Once they found the right line and proper speed they did a great job hitting their marks and scored well. Because they practice so much and work very hard on their game they are able to figure out the proper moves to make when they run into lane conditions like we had today,” said Coach Lang.
HF 3     Schuylerville 1
The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Schuylerville by the score of 3-1 in their final regular season match on January 15. Hoosick Falls had total pins of 3,576, and Schuylerville had total pins of 3,231. Hoosick finished the regular season with a point count of 54-2, an all time team record, and a match record of 14-0. The top bowler for Schuylerville was Jon Barron with a 226-611.
Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Logan Brogue 222-641, Bryan Callahan 236-634, Ken Marbot 255-631, Josh Conn 203-573, Josh McCart 223-568 and Stephen Surdam 208-529.
“The team bowled very well in this competitive match on Schuylerville’s lanes. We struggled a little as the lanes broke down in the third game, and Schuylerville bowled well in that last game. We won the Southern Division title in the Adirondack League and will bowl against Fort Edward, the Northern Division champion, on Tuesday, February 5, at the Strike Zone Lanes in Saratoga, for the overall WASAREN League championship starting at 4 pm. Our next event will be the Adirondack League Tournament at Broadway Lanes in Fort Edward on Tuesday, January 29, starting at 2 pm. The team will be working hard in preparation for these important events,” Coach Bob Lang said.
