Local author Albert Rothenberg will read from his historical novel Madness & Glory at the New Lebanon Library on Thursday, January 17, at 7 pm.
Set during the aftermath of the French Revolution, the novel weaves a complex tale of love, friendship, idealism and betrayal. The reading will be followed by Q & A and discussion, after which Dr. Rothenberg will sign copies of his books.
Dr. Rothenberg is Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He has written numerous articles and books on his investigations of creativity in art, literature, psychotherapy and science and also authored a previous novel, Living Color. He lives both in France and Chatham.
