submitted by Coach Lang
The Hoosick Falls bowling team started its season off with a great 4-0 victory over Southern Division rival Schuylerville at the Barbecue Lanes in Hoosick Falls. The total pin count was Hoosick Falls with 3,707 and Schuylerville with 3,056. Schuylerville was led by Matt Ricci with a 215-698. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were  Bryan Callahan 248-717, Josh Conn 215-621, Ken Marbot 209-619, Josh McCart 226-610, Stephen Surdam 256-598 and Josh Reveal 193-542. Top JV bowler was Jennifer Sargood with a 197-546. The next match will be Thursday against Hoosic Valley at Hilltop Bowl.
“This was a great start to our season. I didn’t know what to expect from this team in the early part of the season. They bowled great, starting with our captain, Bryan Callahan with a nice 248-717, followed by some other great scores by Josh Conn, Ken Marbot, Josh McCart, Stephen Surdam and Josh Reveal.  They have been working hard all pre-season which paid off with a super opening match against one of the better teams in the league, Schuylerville. Now we need to keep working hard throughout the season and take it one match at a time,” said Coach Lang.
