Lisa Little Wolf will talk about Native American culture at 7 pm on Thursday, November 15, at the New Lebanon Library. She will dress in traditional garb and tell about the traditions of different geographic regions, which have changed little over the years and are passed along through families.
Little Wolf is originally from the Northern Cheyenne Nation in Lame Deer, Montana. As an educator for many years, she travels the country speaking to peoples of many Nations. Her passion is helping everyone to understand the lives of Native people, both past and present. She currently travels the pow-wow circuit to sell items made by her family and also dances in the native buckskin tradition. Her company, North Woods Trading, was established in 1990 and much of the profit from sales goes to the elders on the reservation.
The event is free and open to the public. For further information, please call the Library at 518-794-8844.
