BCS Boys JV Has A Big Turnout

September 28, 2012 By eastwickpress

submitted by Jen Burhans
The Berlin boys JV soccer team is presently 1-3-1. The team consists of seventh through tenth grade athletes. Since Berlin is the only school in the CHVL league with a boys JV team, they face opponents from class A and B level schools. The team travels across three states to get a full schedule.
The boys had this week free of games but will be facing the toughest part of their schedule through October as they play CBA, Mt. Anthony from Bennington, VT, and Catholic Central.
The team is carrying 17 players, some of whom switch up to the Varsity team as needed. Coach Burhans said, “This is the most members we’ve had in a few years, and it’s great to see the program gaining in numbers. The guys have gotten off to a great start, and we’re looking forward to getting back into games in the coming week.”
