September Events At The New Lebanon Library

The New Lebanon Library announces the following September events. All of these events are free and will take place at the Library which is located at 550 State Route 20 with the exception of the book sale, which will take place at the Midtown Mall in New Lebanon.
• September 4 – Kid’s Yoga – 10:15 am.
• September 5, 12, 19, 26 (event is on Wednesdays) – Tales for Tots Story Hour – 10:30 am. Story hour includes crafts, songs and movement activities.
• September 5, 12, 19, 26  (event is on Wednesdays) – Hug-A-Bye Babies – noon. This event includes age appropriate stories, songs and movement activities for our youngest patrons and their caregivers.
• September 6, 13, 20, 27 (event is on Thursdays) – Bright Beginnings Story Hour and Play Group – 11 am to 2 pm. Meet other parents and care providers while your child aged 0-5 hears a story, then socializes with other children in an unstructured, educational setting.
• September 7 – Coffeehouse Night – 6 pm. Singer/songwriter Linda Worster in concert. Light refreshments will be served.
• September 9 – New Lebanon Book Group – 11 am. The book to be discussed is In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson. Newcomers are welcome.
• September 12 – Family Crafts Night – 6:30pm. Make your own T-shirt. All materials will be provided. This is suitable for the whole family.
• September 14 – Robin O’Herin in concert – 6:30 pm. The Berkshire musician performs.
• September 20 – Author Eleanor Kuhns – 7 pm. She will be reading from and signing her new book, A Simple Murder: A Shaker Mystery. Light refreshments will be served. This event is co-sponsored by the Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon.
• September 21 – The Limb Shakers in concert – 6:30 pm. This is an evening of jazz and swing music.
• September 22 – Paws-to-Read – 9 am. Therapy dogs come to the library and children read to their furry friends. And, of course, the dogs listen! Please call 518-794-8844 to register.
• September 27 – Travelogue: Phnom Penh, Cambodia – 7 pm. This is a multimedia presentation of local teacher Michael Corral’s year in Cambodia.
• September 28 – Family Movie Night – 6:30 pm. A current film suitable for the whole family will be shown. Call for title.
• September 28, 29, 30 – The New Lebanon Library’s Annual Book and Bake Sale – Saturday 10 am to 4 pm, Sunday 10 am to 2 pm. Most items cost $2 or less. The special preview sale is Friday 4 to 6 pm and Saturday 8 to 10 am. Admission to the special preview is $5. “Buck a Bag” sale is Sunday 12 to 2 pm. Midtown Mall, Route 20, New Lebanon.
