On Sunday, August 26, more than three dozen people had an opportunity to visit with Cheryl Roberts at a “meet and greet” in West Hoosick. Roberts is an attorney with 20 years of experience in environmental law and nearly a decade in municipal law, and she is a former Town Court Justice.

Roberts has successfully helped local communities say no to hydrofracking and, if elected to the Assembly, she said she would continue to oppose hydrofracking.
Her career began as an environmental staffer to Democratic and Republican members of the United States Congress.
Roberts is running in the Democratic Primary against Keith Hammond. The winning candidate will face Republican Steve McLaughlin for the 107th District NYS Assembly seat, which covers Columbia and Eastern Rensselaer County.
