On Sunday, June 10, on the beautiful Darrow School campus on the grounds of Mount Lebanon Shaker Village, 110 Darrow Road, New Lebanon, Peter O’Hara, Landscape Volunteer, will be on hand to discuss and show highlights of the North Family Herb Garden (next to the North Family Forge) at 1:30 pm.
At 2 pm Jerry Grant, Director of Collections and Research at the Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon, will present a lecture titled “Every man his own Physician: Samuel Thomson, the Shakers, and the Thomsonian System.”
There will also be more than 30 walks, talks, demonstrations and workshops on herbs in food, pharmacy, gardening and local history from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. There will be food, fun, music and vendors. Admission is $10 per person, $20 per family.
