New Lebanon Librarian Jeannie Bogino will present “The Literary Herb: Herbs in Literature, Legend, Myth and Folklore” on Saturday, June 9, at 1 pm at the New Lebanon Library. This free program, which is oriented to adults and teens, is being offered in conjunction with Mount Lebanon HerbFest weekend.
Throughout history, herbs have occupied a prominent place in literature, superstition and folklore around the world. Participants will learn about the mythology and legend surrounding these fascinating plants as well as the role of the herb in literature.
The New Lebanon Library is located at 550 State Route 20, ¼ mile north of the yellow blinking light at the intersection of Routes 20/22.
