Plan For The Future Of The Rensselaer Plateau

April 20, 2012 By eastwickpress

Please come and join others who live, work or play on the Rensselaer Plateau to give your input and help guide development of the Regional Conservation Plan.  On Monday, April 30, from 7 to 9 pm the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance (RPA) will host a public workshop at the Averill Park Fire Hall, 35 Eastern Union Turnpike, Averill Park. This will be the second opportunity to learn more about the Regional Conservation Plan process and provide your input to the plan. Attend this meeting to:
• learn about the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance and the Regional Conservation Plan;
• discover what we are learning about the Plateau’s natural areas;
•  find out about the economic importance of the Plateau;
•  hear initial ideas for the Regional Conservation Plan, and
•  ask questions and share your thoughts about the Regional Conservation Plan.
Anyone who lives, works or plays in the Rensselaer Plateau towns of Berlin, Brunswick, Grafton, Hoosick, Nassau, Petersburgh, Pittstown, Poestenkill, Sand Lake, Stephentown and the Village of East Nassau is welcome and encouraged to attend.  Free refreshments – dessert and beverages – will be provided.
For more information about the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance please go to www.rensselaerplateau.org.  For additional information about the upcoming workshop please contact Jim Bonesteel, RPA President at info@rensselaerplateau.org or 794-9160.
