The Lady Panther basketball team took on a Berne-Knox team at Hoosac Valley HS Friday evening, February 24, and came away with another upset victory over a much higher seeded opponent. Trailing 25-17 at the end of the first half, the thirteenth seeded Panthers outscored fifth seeded B-K in each of the last two quarters to claim a 53-51 victory. While the long arms and height advantage of B-K made rebounds and easy baskets difficult to come by, the Lady Panthers found a way to win, using their defensive quickness to cause numerous B-K turnovers. Nicole Marmillo led the offense with 16 points; Carsen Williams scored 12, and Rachel Pine chipped in 11 for the victory.
