Shirley A. Fitzpatrick

Hoosick Falls – Shirley A. Fitzpatrick, 80, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the Rivers Edge Community Care Center in Bennington, VT. She was the wife of the late William J. Fitzpatrick, who died in 1998.
Born on October 15, 1931, in Hoosick Falls, NY, Shirley was the daughter of the late Claude and Vivian (Whipple) Tucker. She was educated at schools in Mechanicville, NY. Shirley worked at Oak Industries in Hoosick Falls. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Academy Auxiliary, a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, where she worked at Church functions, and a member of the Hoosick Falls Elks Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters, Colleen Fitzpatrick of Reno, NV, Claudia Mattison of Shaftsbury, VT, and Donna Kennedy of Nahant, MA, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by a brother, Lyle Tucker.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, February 18, at 11 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the Mass at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Cambridge, NY.
Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090, on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bennington County Hospice through the funeral home.
