Another slow start for the Hoosick Falls boys basketball team kept the Bengals of Tamarac in the game longer than anticipated on Friday night, February 10. A big third quarter for the already crowned Wasaren League Champions kept their winning streak alive though.
Playing in Brunswick on Friday night, Hoosick Falls got of to a slow start and led by just one point after the first quarter and four points at the half. In the third quarter it was a different team though. Emerging after the break the Panthers held the host Bengals to just seven points while putting up 24 on the board for themselves. Those eight minutes of dominance would be the difference in the game as Tamarac held their own in the fourth quarter, and Hoosick Falls closed out their Wasaren League schedule with a 65-42 win. Tanner Williams led the team with 18 points followed by Matt Gormley’s 16 points.
