HFCS Bowlers Win Adirondack League Tournament; Beat Archrivals

February 3, 2012 By eastwickpress

On Tuesday, January 31, the Hoosick Falls bowling team won the Adirondack League Tournament by beating its archrival, Fort Edward, at the Broadway Lanes in Fort Edward with a total pin count of 3,077 for five bowlers.  Fort Edward placed second with a total of 2,995, and Schuylerville finished third with a total pin count of 2,627. Joe Wolfrum had the high single for the tournament with a great 278 game. Hoosick Falls had the following scores:  Joe Wolfrum 278-652, Bryan Callahan 254-651, Mitch Andrew 243-618, Josh McCart 204-587 and Mikaela Marbot 226-569. Josh Conn and Stephen Surdam were on the roster but did not bowl. Hoosick Falls will now face Fort Edward next Tuesday, February 7, at the Strike Zone Lanes in Saratoga starting at 4 pm to see who will be the overall Adirondack League Champion.
“This was a great come back after we lost a close match to Fort Edward a few weeks ago on our home lanes 3-1. Both teams have a lot of great bowlers, and you never know who will bowl the big games or high triples. I am looking forward to another great match between these two very good teams. I hope that we can get a lot of support for the team for this big match,”  said Coach Lang.
