The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Schuylerville on Thursday, December 1, by the score of 3-1. Total pins for Hoosick Falls were 3,678 and total pins for Schuylerville were 3,335. Hoosick Falls now has a season record of 7-1, and Schuylerville is 1-3. Top bowler for Schuylerville was Nate Booth with a 232-619. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Joe Wolfrum 236-645, Mitch Andrew 238-628, Mikaela Marbot 210-606, Josh McCart 256-603, Bryan Callahan 210-586, and Josh Conn 212-577. Stephen Surdam bowled his first game at the varsity level and had a great 245 along with a 232 and 226 at the J.V. level for a great 703 triple. Other good scores on J.V. were Charlie Stowell 228-576 and Jordan Colvin 202-531.
“This was a good test to see where our team is at this point in the season. We started out with a great first game total of 1,316 and then struggled in the second game and lost by 11 pins to a good Schuylerville effort. The team showed a lot of character and

came back in the third game with a pin count of 1,245 and ended up winning that game and the match point total. It was a good learning experience for the team and showed that we have more work to do week by week if we are going to succeed,” Coach Lang said.

The Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Stillwater on Tuesday by the score of 4-0 at Hometown Lanes. Hoosick Falls had match total pins of 3,559 and Stillwater had 3,145. The top bowler for Stillwater was Nick Dworak with a 244-631. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Josh Conn 279-695, Mitch Andrew 256-688, Joe Wolfrum 195-570, Josh McCart 198-550 and Mikaela Marbot 201-533. Top J.V. scores for Hoosick Falls were Jordan Colvin 204-607, Ken Marbot 225-573 and Jonathan Bossoni 212-521.
“Josh Conn and Mitch Andrew had some great scores which helped carry the team to another victory on the road. The lane conditions were a little tricky, but the two of them handled the conditions perfectly. Overall, the team was very patient and did a great job making their spares. We have another tough away match on Thursday at Granville. I hope the team can continue their winning ways,” said Coach Lang.
