Lucas A. Klein completed his Ph.D. magna cum laude from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, San Diego, CA. In August, 2011, he successfully defended his dissertation on assessment psychometrics, which was entitled “The Relationship between Interpersonal Capacity Data on the Personality Assessment Inventory, the Rorschach, and the Quality of Object Relations Scale: A Validity Study.” Lucas was awarded his doctoral degree on September 12, 2011.  His pre-doctoral field training included work with chronic mental illness, college counseling, adolescent psychotherapy, private practice psychodynamic therapy and neurocognitive/personality assessment. He is currently a Doctor of Clinical Psychology in San Diego where he provides psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults, adolescents and couples. He also provides forensic, personality and neurocognitive psychological assessments. Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Klein continues in post-doctoral psychoanalytic training and is being considered as a diplomat of the American Board of Assessment Psychology.
A 2001 Berlin Central School graduate, Lucas went on to earn his first degree (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) at Siena College in Loudonville, NY. At both Berlin and Siena, Lucas served in leadership capacities. He played Division I soccer in his freshman collegiate year and continued to compete in premier-league squads in Albany and San Diego. He has a keen interest in philosophy and politics and maintains his athleticism through exercise and whitewater kayaking. He and his girlfriend are currently in the process of deciding which region of the country would serve as the best location for long term plans.
