The Hoosick Falls Central School PTA recently received a $500 grant through Stewart’s Holiday Match program that recognizes organizations that support children’s programs throughout the communities it serves. Hoosick Falls Central School’s PTA is donating the grant to the elementary school library as part of its focus on literacy and library revitalization. The PTA is also adding an additional $2,000 of funds it raised to the Stewart’s grant giving additional purchase power to the librarian to add or replace much needed book inventory. PTA members will be meeting this weekend for a “repair day” to mend worn or tattered books in the elementary school library to extend their shelf life.
