Hoosick Falls Blows Out Granville On Senior Night

February 11, 2011 By eastwickpress

by Ryan Mosher
The final home game of the year is always a chance for the basketball team to honor the seniors on the team. The 2010-2011 Hoosick Falls boys team has four seniors on their roster who were honored Wednesday night – David Ciuk, Quinn Rasmus, Sean Dingman and Mike Brewster. All four were in the starting lineup as the Panthers hosted Granville.
The Horde did not put up much of a fight against the overpowering Panthers and never led. Rasmus owned the first quarter, scoring 7 of the Panthers’ 19 points. Dingman added 5 in getting the Panthers out to a 19-6 first quarter score. After building a 31-10 halftime lead, Hoosick Falls came even more alive in the third, exploding for 22 more points and only allowing 4 points on defense. The final score was 70-25. Rasmus led all scorers with 16 points, while Ciuk and Dingman each had 9 and Brewster had 8 points. Tanner Williams led the underclassmen with 10 points.
The Panthers now finish off the season with games on Friday at Hoosic Valley, Monday at Greenwich and next Wednesday at Mt. Anthony.
