Panthers Have No Trouble With Cambridge

The Hoosick Falls boys basketball teams had no problems dealing with rival Cambridge on their court on Wednesday night.  After the JV Panthers held Cambridge to under 10 points, it was the Varsity Panthers’ turn.

Alex Lilac got things started, nailing a three-pointer for the first basket of the game. The Panthers would jump out to a 10-0 lead before Cambridge got on the scoreboard. After allowing the home team to score five points, the Panthers went on a 13-0 run.  After the first quarter, it was Hoosick Falls 27, Cambridge 10.
The second quarter was a little slower for both teams, but Hoosick Falls continued to dominate and took a 39-16 lead into halftime.
In the second half, Tanner Williams led the charge, scoring 9 points in the third quarter, including a :32 second span where he outscored Cambridge 7-0 by himself.  In the end the Panthers had ten different players score, and won the game 72-35.
Williams led the team with 19 points, Quinn Rasmus had 16 points and Sean Dingman added 10 points for Hoosick Falls. The Panthers next face off against Schuylerville at home on Friday night at 7:30 pm; the JVs play at 6 pm.
