To the Editor:
I have lived on roads maintained by the Town of Petersburgh all my life. During those 83 years I have seen Highway Supervisors and Highway crews come and go, in all kinds of weather. Recently we had two Northern storms of major proportions and many days of freezing rain and snowstorms over a very short time. This means working long hours for our Highway crew, with little time for meals and sleep. Our Highway crew stayed on the job and plowed and sanded over and over again in all hours of day and night with little regard for their own self-being.
The Town roads have been taken care of the best I have ever seen under such stormy conditions.
Thank you to Highway Superintendent Raymond Harrison and each and every one of the Highway crew for doing such an excellent job.
