Four high school seniors from Buskirk, Cambridge, Hoosick Falls and Berlin received DAR Good Citizen Awards at a ceremony conducted Friday, December 3, at the Embury Methodist Church, Cambridge. Carole J. Dilley, Regent of the Ondawa-Cambridge Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, and DAR Good Citizens Committee Chair JoAnn C. Trinkle presented the awards in recognition of the leadership, dependability, patriotism and service each student had demonstrated at home, at school and in the community.
The DAR Good Citizens Award recipients for outstanding leadership and citizenship in 2010 are:
• Michael Brewster, the son of Cindy and Mike Brewster of Hoosick Falls, a senior at Hoosick Falls Central School.
• Abbey Lavazzo, the daughter of Linda and Vince Lavazzo of Mechanicville, a senior at Mechanicville High School.
• Deirdre Matte, the daughter of Wanda and Ivan Matte of Buskirk, a senior at Cambridge Central School
• Llewellyn Palmer, III, the son of Sara Palmer and Llewellyn Palmer, Jr. of Berlin, a senior at Berlin Sr. High School.
