The Hoosick Falls bowling team has both experienced and upcoming young bowlers that are ready to defend their Adirondack League title. There are five starters back from last year’s championship team – senior Chris Pelletier, Co-Captain, juniors Cody LaFlamme, Joe Wolfrum and Mitch Andrew and sophomore Bryan Callahan.
The bowlers who are ready to bowl at the varsity level are senior James Lynch, Co-Captain, seventh-grader Josh McCart, sophomore Josh Conn, juniors Mikaela Marbot, Jordan Colvin and Charlie Stowell, sophomore Josh Reveal and eighth-grader Ken Marbot. The competition among these bowlers is really close from practice to practice to see who will start the next match. This depth is what makes the team so strong. It is our big advantage over most of the teams in the league. New members on the team this year who are working hard to improve their game and be a vital part of the team are senior Tim Tobin and seventh-graders Jen Sargood and Stephen Surdam.
The team has been working very hard getting ready for the beginning of the season. They know they must have a good work ethic and take each match one at a time. They also know they must be very patient during each match, especially on away lanes that are much different than our home lanes. I’m very excited about the prospects the team has this year. They are a great group of kids who love the game of bowling. As long as we keep our heads from week to week and keep working hard to improve our game, we should have a successful season.
