St. Mary’s Academy Holiday Cabaret

November 19, 2010 By eastwickpress

On Friday, December 3, St. Mary’s Academy will host its Eighth Annual Holiday Cabaret; when the Fort Salem Theater presents The Singing Anchors. In alphabetical order, Channel 6’s Jerry Gretzinger, joins forces with News Channel 13’s Jessica Layton and Benita Zahn for an evening of song and banter. Although the anchors are sometimes direct competitors in their newscasts, this is a rare opportunity to see these three broadcasters joining together in perfect harmony. Fort Salem Theater presents The Singing Anchors was created and shaped by the performers in creative consultation with Fort Salem’s Artistic Director Jay Kerr, who arranged the music and accompanies the singers on keyboard.
In addition to the show, which will be held in the St. Mary’s gymnasium, there will be hors d’oeuvres, desserts, coffee and a cash bar as well as countless items available in a silent auction to supplement your Christmas shopping.
Tickets cost $25 per person. Reservations are strongly recommended but not required.
Doors open at 6:30 pm; the performance begins promptly at 8 pm. After the show there will be coffee, dessert and music until 10 pm.
For more information or to reserve your table, call Bridget Crawford at 686-4314 ext. 206.
