Coach Campbell Gets 200th Victory
The win against Schuylerville was the 200th win for Coach Denise Campbell. Coach Campbell has coached Field Hockey at HFCS since 1998. Her record is 200-45-1. In those 12 years her teams have been League Champions eight times, Section II finalists once, Regional Finalists once and Regional Champions three times. In 2001 and 2002 her teams had 17 consecutive wins. Her teams have been scholar athletes for the past three years and last year won the League Sportsmanship Award.
Campbell, a HFCS alum and Field Hockey player, had 43 career goals from 1988 to ’90. In 1990 she set the school record with 23 goals for a season. That record was tied last year by Samantha Skott.
