Letter To The Editor – An Issue Of Sovereignty?

May 7, 2010 By eastwickpress

To the Editor:
As a past Town Justice, Councilman and Planning Board Chair of the Town of Grafton, it is with great pride that I applaud and commend the recent action taken by the current Town Board, more specifically with regard to the resolution by Councilman Edward Fredricks and the unanimous vote by the Board opposing the NYS State Dept. of Environmental Conservation’s designation of the Rensselaer Plateau as a Forest Legacy Area.
We as people of the Town of Grafton have always strived to keep our individual sovereignty and God given private property rights under the Constitution, and for those whose socialistic goals are to take away those rights under the guise of protecting our lands. WE SAY NAY. Remember. UNDER ALL IS THE LAND “WHEN GOVERNMENT CONTROLS THE LAND. THEY CONTROL THE PEOPLE”
The surrounding communities should take note of the action taken by the Town Board of The Town of Grafton and follow suit to protect their lands from the intrusion of Big Government and their Socialistic programs.
Respectfully submitted,
Theron J. O’Dell Sr.
