HFCS PTA Sponsors Meet the Candidates Night

May 7, 2010 By eastwickpress

The HFCS PTA is sponsoring Meet the Candidates Night on May 12, at 7 pm in the Junior-Senior High School Cafeteria. Four candidates are vying for three open seats on the Board of Education. The vote will take place on Tuesday, May 18.
Each year the PTA hosts Meet the Candidates Night to allow community members the opportunity to be introduced to candidates, as well as become aware of their ideas and views prior to the School Board election. This year the candidates are Gregory M. Laurin, Donald Skott, Richard Ferrannini and Dwain Wilwol.
A member of the League of Women Voters will act as moderator and timekeeper for the event. Written questions solicited from the audience, as well as prior to that evening, will be screened by the League member prior to being presented to the candidates.
If you have specific questions you would like posed to the candidates that evening, you may submit them ahead of time to Margaret Stevens (686-1648, bwh6@aol.com) by May 10. We will pass those questions to the League members for their consideration.
We encourage everyone to make an informed choice, and Meet the Candidates Night is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about each candidate.
