HFCS Junior Prom

May 28, 2010 By eastwickpress

The HFCS Class of 2011 Junior Prom, entitled City Lights, began with the Grand March in the high school auditorium at 4 pm where the King, Queen and the Court were announced. Junior Prom King and Queen were Class Historian Amelia Reynolds and Class Vice-President Mike Brewster. Members of the Prom Court, listed in alphabetical order, were Talliesin Beriau, Hillary Burdick, Stephen Colvin, Ashley Costantino, Michael Denerley, Deanna Dubois, Garrett Foster, Jennifer Gardner, Alexis Hagadorn, James Lynch, Karley Morin, Nathan Piche, Quinn Rasmus, Brooke Sargood, Alyssa Schneider, Samantha Skott, Steven Tommasino, Andy Tudor, Amanda Vitro and Todd Weber.
After the march all Prom attendees, dressed in their finery, boarded Yankee Trails buses to Lake George where they boarded the Shoreline Cruise boat, the “Adirondack.” The evening included a buffet dinner, dancing and a view of fireworks coming from Lake George village. They left Lake George at 10:30 pm and arrived back at the school at midnight where everyone changed out of his or her formal attire and went to the cafeteria for pizza, subs and soda. Some then went to the gym to play volleyball, badminton, basketball or ping pong while others watched the movie “Blind Side” which was shown in the auditorium. Others chose to sleep as they brought pillows and blankets for the bus ride to New Jersey.
At 2:45 am everyone boarded buses for Six Flags in New Jersey. Most slept until breakfast at a Cracker Barrel restaurant in New Jersey. They stayed at Six Flags until 4 pm. On the buses they had sandwiches, chips and water which was provided by the ADAPT group. They arrived back at the school at 8:15 pm on Sunday after a wonderful weekend.
