Panther Bowling Round Up

HF 4        Stillwater 0
On Thursday, January 14, the Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Stillwater by the score of 4-0. Hoosick Falls had a match total pin count of 3,737 to Stillwater’s 3,166. Hoosick Falls now has a record of 41-7, and Stillwater is 26-22. The top bowler for Stillwater was Tyler Meek with a 279-693. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Bryan Callahan 246-694,

Cody LaFlamme 249-656, Chris Pelletier 227-649, Joe Wolfrum 243-621, Mitch Andrew 213-582 and Jake Colliano 188-535. Other good scores by Hoosick Falls bowlers were Patrick Mulvihill 266-680, Josh Conn 224-569, Peter O’Neil 214-528 and Jordan Colvin 197-517.
“This was another big win that we needed to stay on top in the WASAREN League’s Southern Division. We had a good team effort with some great scores. Bryan Callahan has really been bowling well, and today he had a great 694 triple to lead the team. We have only two matches left in the regular season. Hopefully we can keep up the good bowling and get two more wins,” said Coach Lang.
Good Result At Schenectady New Year’s Invitational
On Friday, January 15, the Hoosick Falls bowling team participated in the Second Annual Schenectady New Year’s Invitational Bowling Tournament at Boulevard Lanes in Schenectady. Eighteen teams competed,  mostly class A and class B teams.  Hoosick Falls was one of only two class C teams that competed in the tournament. Hoosick Falls finished sixth with a great score of 3,679 which included six bowlers bowling three games each, which is the same format when they compete in their league.
First place went to South Colonie with a total of 3,879 followed by Niskayuna with 3,828, Schalmont, 3,816, Columbia, 3,753, and Shenendehowa with 3,710. Individual scores for Hoosick Falls were Joe Wolfrum 278-659, Jake Colliano 237-643, Mitchell Andrew 249-641, Chris Pelletier 228-605, Cody LaFlamme 204-578, Bryan Callahan 337 (two games) and Josh Conn 216 (one game). Joe Wolfrum missed the high game for the tournament by just one pin with his 278″ game.
HF 4           Corinth 0
On Tuesday, January 19, the Hoosick Falls bowling team defeated Corinth by the score of 4-0. Hoosick Falls had 3,695 total pins; Corinth had total 3,054 pins. Hoosick Falls has a record of 45-7, and Corinth is now 21-31. Top bowler for Corinth was Devon Bovee with a 244-611. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Bryan Callahan 243-677, Jake Colliano 246-674, Chris Pelletier 257-635, Joe Wolfrum 244-620, Cody LaFlamme 223-568 and Mitchell Andrew 217-548. Other good scores were James Lynch 221-571, Patrick Mulvihill 199-552, Josh Conn 190-500, and Jordan Colvin with a nice 222 game.
“We had some really good scores for bowling on away lanes. We had a great first game total of 1,339 and a good match total of 3,695. We have one match left at home against Luzerne on Thursday to see if we can hold on to the Southern Division lead. It is our last home match so we will be honoring our three seniors – Jake Colliano, Patrick Mulvihill and Peter O’Neil after the match. The team has worked very hard all year, I hope we can win this last match and get the title,”  said Coach Lang.
