Douglas J. Notaro

East Nassau – Douglas J. Notaro, 56, of Rte. 66, East Nassau, NY, died on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn after a long illness.
Born in Copiague, NY, Doug was the son of the late Michael and Marianna DeCarlo Notaro and the husband of Anne D’Arcangelo Notaro.
Doug was a graduate of Martin Van Buren High School in Bellerose, NY, and moved to this area from Queens, NY, 22 years ago. Doug was an auto mechanic by trade and had worked for All American Motors in Wynantskill, NY. Doug was a communicant of St. Henry’s Church and had volunteered with the Averill Park Pop Warner program. Doug enjoyed doing mechanical work and spending time with his family and his canine companions.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his children, Nicole Notaro of Troy, NY, Eric Notaro of East Nassau and Gina Notaro of East Nassau, and his aunt, Jeanne Notaro of Queens Village, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, December 27, at 2 pm at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel, 2691 NY 43 at Glass Lake, Averill Park, NY.
If desired, donations in memory of Douglas Notaro may be made to the Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY, 12204, or the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY, 12211.
