Nicholas V. Pugliese

Hoosick Falls – Nicholas V. Pugliese, 79, of High Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, died on Monday, October 19, 2009, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born in North Adams, MA, on June 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Nicholas V. and Myrtle Grogan Pugliese. He was the loving husband of the late Carolyn L. Dallas Pugliese, who died on February 23, 1993. They were married in Hoosick Falls on July 5, 1952.
Mr. Pugliese moved to Hoosick Falls at the age of five and attended Hoosick Falls schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hoosick Falls and a former member of the New York National Guard. He retired from Isola Laminate Systems many years ago. He was an avid hunter and loved deep-sea fishing and cooking. He was a boxer in his younger years. Mr. Pugliese was a Boston Red Sox and New York Giants fan. He loved his pets and taking rides through the countryside. His family was his life!
Survivors include his children, Rosemary K. and husband Ted Dunn (Dawley) of Bennington, VT, Kathleen E. and husband Larry LeBarron, with whom Nicholas resided, Colleen L. Pugliese of Hoosick Falls and Edwin L. and wife Bunny Pugliese of Glens Falls, NY, a sister, Donna M. and her late husband Robert Starr of North Hoosick, NY, grandchildren Bridget, Michael, Brooke, Larry and Brittany along with great-grandchildren Justice, Hunter, Matthew and Genevieve.
Funeral services were on Thursday, October 22, at 11 am in the Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home, 72 Main Street Hoosick Falls where Rev. Thomas Azar, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hoosick Falls, officiated. Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery, next to his loving wife.
Relatives and friends were invited to the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 6 pm for visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.st.jude.org or to the Hoosick Area Church Association Food Closet, P.O. Box 1, Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090, in loving memory of Nicholas V. Pugliese.
