“This year was the best year ever,” said Pat Hayes of St. Mary’s Academy. “It was extremely successful. Everyone was extremely generous.” All the kids pitched in to sell Cow Plop squares. “Each classroom had a goal, and every class met its goal,” she said. That means students can dress down four days one week and every class will have an ice cream party. All that happened at the school.
In the Hoosick Town Park on Sunday it was just as exciting. The atmosphere was carnival-like. One hundred and eight beautiful shiny cars and trucks exhibited in the Car Show.

There were fun rides and games for the kids, plenty of food and a variety of vendors. The weather was sunny and warm. It was just a perfect day for a family outing. And there were plenty of families looking over the cars, eating, playing with the little ones and enjoying the day.
The final 22 of 500 squares for this unique event were sold by 12:30 pm. So many people were disappointed not to be able to get a square that they participated in a 50/50 raffle and selected the square they thought the cow would “plop” in. Winners of the one thousand dollar Cow Plop prize were Bob and Dianne Rooney. The $100 for the calf “plop” was won by Eric and Bridget Crawford.
