Animal Rescue Squad

Brian Houle has started up an animal rescue squad in Rensselaer County. The Hoosic Valley Animal Rescue Squad answers calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week for animals in trouble. The Squad is a recent addition to NENY.org and can be reached by dialing 211. Houle is a student who teaches pet first aid and cpr at the local chapter of the American Red Cross.
The Squad accepts donations to support pet owners who can’t afford the service and food donations for the rescue groups that the Squad is affiliated with, like the local Red Cross. The Squad’s address is P.O. Box 150, North Troy, NY, 12182-0150 and the phone number is 518-328-2287 (CATS). The Squad also has an emergency pager,  518-467-4911 and a web site, www.hvars.com.
