The New Lebanon baseball team could not overcome an early deficit and fell to Loudonville Christian on Tuesday. The Eagles put their first five runners on base, scoring three times in the first inning to take a 3-0 lead. The
Tigers could not get back on the board in their half of the first inning. Loudonville struck again in the third inning, tallying three more runs on five hits.
Down 6-0, New Lebanon finally scored in the fourth inning. Consecutive singles by Kevin Hanley and Bryan Potter set up Ryan Lowe for a two run triple. Lowe would also come in to score in the inning. Down just 6-3, the Tigers could not cut the lead any further or hold it at that. Loudonville added runs in the fifth, sixth and two in the seventh to make the final score 10-3.
