Letter To The Editor – To Set The Record Straight

April 24, 2009 By eastwickpress

To the Editor:

I too was at the Budget Workshop meeting on March 31. It was very short and there wasn’t any discussion about the budget! I was there for just that, to hear about the budget. If it had changed, the public, along with half of the Board members, were not informed about this change.

Yes, the architects were there, and I’m sure disappointed because their time and energy were wasted. What needs to be said is that it was not members of the Board that asked them to attend. At least not  the two (Morelli and Stewart) who were mentioned in the letter “Fed Up” on 4/3. It was, I believe, the Superintendent who did the asking. (BOE meeting 3/17).

A Board member who wants something clarified and explained to the fullest is not a joke or an idiot in my eyes. Especially when it comes to how our tax money is being spent. We might have different views and opinions on many subjects, but I feel these words are too harsh and disrespectful for ANY of our volunteer BOE members. They spend so much time dealing with all the issues of our District we should be thanking them ALL for all their time and stop attacking them.

In closing I would like to encourage everyone in this District to attend meetings and ask questions. This is where and how the true information is found.
