Join us for the fourth lecture in our series “Global Issues, Local Solutions: A lecture series on the regional farm and food system”.
[private] Laura Ten Eyck, co-author of The Essential Guide for Sustainable, Small-Scale Production for Home and Market along with several local brewers, will describe how the runaway craft beer market’s convergence with the ever-expanding local foods movement is helping spur a local hops renaissance. The demand from craft brewers for local ingredients to make beer-such as hops and barley-is robust and growing. Come learn and taste some locally brewed beer!
The lecture will be held on Tuesday, March 14 at Brown’s Brewing Company, 50 Factory Hills Road, Hoosick Falls. The snow date is March 21.
Please pre-register by calling 518-743-2238 or emailing conted@sunyacc.edu. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person that will be collected at the door. Registration begins at 6:30 pm, the lecture starts at 7 pm. Walk-ins are welcome. [/private]
