A Honda Prius was stopped in the eastbound lane to turn into Sonny’s. As the Prius waited for westbound traffic to pass, cars backed up behind it. One of the cars behind the Prius, a Subaru Forester, entered the westbound lane, possibly from getting pushed from behind. As the Subaru entered the westbound lane it struck a small Ford cargo van, ripping the front left fender areas of both vehicles from the bumper to the windshield. The contact shattered the aluminum wheel of the Subaru. The cargo van came to rest 130 feet down the road. The Prius sustained damage where it was scraped along almost the entire length of the drivers side. The Subaru and Ford van were towed from the scene,
The North Hoosick Fire Department, Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad and NY State Police responded to the scene.[/private]
