The Summer Reading Program “Dream Big – Read” continues at the Petersburgh Public Library for children, teens and adults. Everyone who signed up for the Summer Reading Program is encouraged to keep reading and recording the titles and authors of the books read. Also, all youth who signed up are reminded to stop into the Library each week to pick up his or her prize. If you haven’t signed up but would like to do the reading for the summer (reading must be completed by August 13), you can still sign up at the Library or through our website at www.petersburghpubliclibrary.org.
Story Hour
All pre-schoolers and their parents or care providers are invited to Story Hour on July 30 at 10 am. Join us for stories about moons and stars, astronauts and outer space. We will also do a craft and have a snack.
Glow In The Dark
Star Jar
On August 1 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm everyone in grades kindergarten through sixth is invited to stop by the Library to make a glow in the dark star jar to take home. All materials will be provided, and samples will be on display prior to the sessions.
Be sure to keep reading throughout the summer. For each book read, teens and adults can enter to win a prize basket which will be awarded during our final program on August 15.
