Eagle Bridge – Paul D. “Denny” Frank, 69, of Telford Road, Eagle Bridge, NY, died on Thursday afternoon, March 11, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family under the care of Community Hospice of Rensselaer County.
Born in Ft. Myers, FL, on December 27, 1940, he was the son of the late Paul W. and Venetta Corbin Frank. He was the loving husband of the former Patricia Kane, whom he married in Troy, NY, on July 1, 1961. He had moved to the area at the age of 9 and was a member of the Grafton Baptist Church.
A 1959 graduate of Berlin Central High School, Denny was in the United Staes Army for a short time. After his honorable discharge, he was a truck driver for over 36 years. As a member of Teamster’s Local #294, he worked for Fairbanks Express and Roadway and then retired from Red Star Express of Glenmont, NY, in 1996. An avid stamp collector, Denny was a 26 year member of the American Philatelic Society and a member of the Green Mountain Stamp Club.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patricia K. “Pat” Frank, his children, Paula F. and husband Edward Farley of Smithtown, IL, Aimee M. and husband Scott Skiff of Durham, NY, and Gregory S. Frank of North Hoosick, NY, his siblings, Richard G. and wife Bonnie Frank of Stillwater, NY, Christina and husband Wayne Schillinger of Grafton, NY, his grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Millie, Lucy and Kimberly Farley and Elias, Michael, Morgan and Andre Skiff, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother, James L. Frank.
Funeral services were on Tuesday, March 16, at 10 am in the Grafton Baptist Church, Owens Road, Grafton, where Rev. Jason White officiated. A reception followed the service in the Fellowship Hall downstairs of the Church. Private burial will take place in the West Hoosick Cemetery.
Relatives and friends were invited for visitation on Monday from 4 to 7 pm in the Robson-Reinfurt Funeral Home, 72 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY.
