Tsatsawassa Pig Roast

On Saturday, August 15, the Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company Inc. will hold its 27th Annual Pig Roast on the firehouse grounds located a 9 Firehouse Lane,  just off Route 20 in the hamlet of Brainard.  Doors will open at 1 pm and the afternoon will be filled with fun events including door prizes and games as well as hot dogs, sausage/hamburgers and drinks, all while the ‘whole pig’ covered with foil, will be roasting on the spit in view of the attendees.  [Read more…] about Tsatsawassa Pig Roast

Berlin Central School District Registration Day

Registration for new students in kindergarten – 12th grade is held at the Berlin Middle High School Counseling Office, which is located at 17400 NY 22, Cherry Plain, NY 12040.   A Registration Day for all students interested in registering is scheduled for August 19, 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. Stephentown Developing A Comprehensive Plan

The Stephentown Comprehensive Plan Committee is moving ahead with developing a master plan for the Town. At the Town Board meeting on July 20 Councilman PJ Roder reported that over 1,500 copies of a survey had been sent out to residents. Extra copies are available at the Town Clerk’s Office.

Roder noted that there would be a public workshop meeting on July 27 and the Committee is looking for input from residents as to what things are most important and what subcommittees will be needed. One subcommittee will definitely be set up to focus on the issue of emergency services which he said is becoming a major problem everywhere.
