Story Time – Fridays at 10 am. Calling all preschoolers (and their caregivers)! Join us each Friday for some story time fun! In this half-hour session, we read aloud, sing songs, move about, and explore the world around us through literature. Electronics Recycling Event October 3
The Rensselaer County Legislature and the County Environmental Management Council are teaming up to sponsor an electronics recycling day, Chair of the Legislature Stan Brownell announced.
The electronics recycling event will be held Saturday, October 3 from 9:30 am to 2 pm. The recycling event will be held at the County Office Building, 1600 7th Avenue, downtown Troy.

PS21 Breaks Ground for New Building
On Monday, October 5 at 9 am, PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century will hold an official ground breaking ceremony for the new PS21 performing arts facility at 2980 Route 66 in Chatham. After ten seasons of performances under a saddlespan tent, PS21 is delighted to announce that its new permanent building is beginning construction. This new building will be a huge benefit to the community and increase the organization’s ability to serve both the performing artists and their audiences. Town Supervisor Larry Eckhardt laid out the schedule for the 2016 Budget at Monday’s Town Board meeting. There will be a public workshop on Monday, October 5 to develop a Preliminary Budget. Discussion will continue at the Board’s regular workshop meeting on Monday, October 12 and at its regular meeting on Monday, October 19.
