A sixth round of sampling of properties in Poestenkill for PFOA has been concluded, but no new properties were found to have levels of PFOA above the state-permitted levels, county officials announced on Wednesday, November 24.
The results were finalized Tuesday and prepared for public release. The sixth round of testing results was announced as testing is continuing on additional properties in Poestenkill on a voluntary basis by both the county and the state.

Berlin Middle/High School is fielding a Modified, Junior Varsity and Varsity Masterminds team again this year as an extracurricular opportunity for students to represent their school in an interscholastic setting.
The quiz bowl competition is for students who enjoy games like Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit. The quiz questions range in topics from art, biology, chemistry, current events, geography, history, literature, music, political science, pop culture, religion and sports.

Stephen Schwarz, the lead attorney in the Hoosick Falls Class Action PFOA Settlement tells The Eastwick Press that attorneys will be available December 2 through 4 to help anyone who might require assistance filling out the claims forms for that Class Action Settlement announced earlier this year.
