Joyce Snyder

Petersburgh, NY

Joyce Snyder, 85, passed away on Wednesday October 10 at the Center for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington, Vermont. Joyce was the wife of Raymond Snyder who resides in Hoosick Falls.

Joyce was born on October 17, 1932, in Petersburgh, NY, daughter of the late William L. and Thelma L. (Bentley) Mason. She graduated from the Walter A. Wood High School, class of 1950.

Joyce was a Baker, owning and operating Joyce’s Custom Cakery, in Petersburgh. She enjoyed ceramics and crocheting. Joyce was a member of the Petersburgh Baptist Church, where she enjoyed helping with the church functions.

Survivors other than her husband Raymond include their daughters Carol Alderman (Lewis) of Berlin, NY and Nancy Snyder of Butner, NC, her sister Sharon Ludwig (Lawrence) of Hoosick Falls, NY, brother David Mason of Rochester, NY, grandchildren April Bink (Joe), Thomas Alderman (Brenda) and William Alderman (Lisa), great grandchildren Kevin and Corey Bink, Tristen and Madelynn Alderman.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 12 at 11 am from the Petersburgh Baptist Church on Route 22. Burial will follow the service at Meadowlawn Cemetery, Petersburgh.

Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 am until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Petersburgh Baptist Church through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, who are handling the services.

    I just saw this so sorry to the family on your loss. She was such a wonderful soft speaking lady.
