Mildred King

Grafton – Mildred Reichard King, 95, formerly of Reichard Farm Road in Poestenkill, passed away peacefully on Friday February 13, 2015. Born in Troy, Millie was the daughter of the late Clayton and Esther Reichard. Millie was married in 1940 to the late Henry “Hi” King in the Poestenkill Church of Christ and she was a longtime employee of the New York State Compensation Board. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking.

OB-MillieKingMillie was the sister of the late Frederick Reichard.

Survivors include her daughter Joycelyn King of Reno, NV, her sons Lester and his wife Carol King of Grafton, NY and Lealend King of OK, her sisters Helen and her husband, the late Zebluon, Joy of Brunswick, NY and Florence and her husband Dave  Coonradt of Grafton, NY, her grandchildren Nancy and husband Mike Mercer of Harrison, AK, Alan and wife Sandy Loizeaux of Flat Rock, NC, Sarah and husband Chris Rohde of Nevada City, CA, Linda King of Grafton, NY, Rebecca and husband Steven Kirchner of Poestenkill, NY, Amy and husband Brian Grandjean of Grafton, NY, Seth King of Grafton, NY, Ketrick and wife Stefany King of San Diego, CA, Kimberlee and husband Dave King of Rensselaer, NY, Katrina and husband Dustin Charland of Poestenkill, NY, and Kerrin and husband Cale King of Brunswick, NY. Millie is also survived by her great grandchildren Kylie, Noah, and Ethan of Grafton, NY, Ella and Zachary of Nevada City, CA, Sean of Harrison, AK, Creed and Carter of Poestenkill, NY, Gwen, Molly and Alana of Brunswick, NY and Avery of San Jose, CA. In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. Millie was greatly appreciative of the care she received at the Eddy, and had fond memories of her travels with the senior citizens, the Poestenkill Christian Church, and of her good friend Louise. A Memorial Service celebrating her life is planned for May 30. Millie would like donations in her memory be made to the Poestenkill Senior Citizens or the Poestenkill Church of Disciples.
