Jury selection will begin in the trial of former Hoosick Town Supervisor and Hoosick Falls resident Keith Cipperly on Friday, January 30. [private]On November 25, 2013, Cipperly was charged with Official Misconduct and Falsifying Business Records in the second degree. Both are misdemeanor charges.
According to the Police Report, “The charges stem from an incident where Cipperly filed papers with a bank, in his capacity as Supervisor of the Town of Hoosick, regarding a real estate transaction. The papers contained false information.”
The case was moved from Hoosick to Pittstown to Schaghticoke. Cipperly first appeared before Schaghticoke Judge Jamie Thomas on February 10, 2014. The case has been continued almost monthly since then.[/private]
