The Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation at Hoosick Falls celebrated National Nurses Week recently with a kickoff of “Cinco de Mayo Day,” “Sports Day,” “Strawberry Shortcake Hump Dayyyy,” “Dress as Your Favorite Co-Worker Day” and ending with “Pay Day.”
The following week a number of events took place at the Center in celebration of National Nursing Home Week. Beginning on Sunday, there was a Mother’s Day dessert table and the singers from the Petersburgh Baptist Church performed. Monday the Center welcomed Hoosick Falls Elementary School students who delighted the residents at an outdoor concert in the courtyard. On Tuesday, who didn’t tap their toes to the music of the three piece band of Bill Cottrell, Andrew Kelly and Woody Strobeck performing “the oldies.” Thursday was Popcorn and a Movie afternoon, and the week was rounded out on Friday with a “Dress in your favorite 50s outfit” and enjoyable hot fudge sundaes for everyone.
The Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is an 82 bed not-for-profit skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year in serving our community.
