Pumpkinpalooza 4 takes place this weekend with a cornucopia of activities in Hoosick Falls, mostly in Wood Park, starting at 8 am and lasting until 11 pm. There is fun for everyone. As part of Pumpkinpalooza 4 HAYC3 invited residents to search for and find the hidden Gnome. On Saturday the finder of the little guy will receive $250.
[private]No Place Like Gnome was a preliminary event that was scheduled to last two weeks. The Gnome was hidden in a secret location in the Hoosick Community. Each day a riddled clue pertaining to the Gnome’s whereabouts was posted on www.HAYC3.org starting September 15. Clues were based on
local history, Hoosick geography, and rhetoric. Some clever person discovered the colorful Gnome in less than two weeks. It was inside the Cheney Library. Congratulations.
And Don’t Forget The Pet Parade
The second annual pet parade will take place at HAYC3’s fourth annual Pumpkinpalooza. Owners of any and all pet types are welcome to participate in this fun event for a chance to win one of several pet prizes. Participants are welcome to register at the HAYC3 welcome station at the Athletic Field beginning at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 29.
The parade will step off at 11 am and proceed from the tennis courts, down Main Street to Wood Park. Judges will review the entries during the parade and select the winners. An award presentation will take place at the Wood Park Gazebo at 11:30 am.
Costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded for the funniest, cutest, and most original.
