The Village of Hoosick Falls has announced that there are water restrictions in effect for residents of Hoosick Falls and customers outside the Village that use Village water. There is to be no outside watering of any kind, including car washing, filling pools or pressure washing.

We are down about seven inches of rain,” he said. “People should be trying to conserve water,” he added. Hurlburt said he has been here since 2002 and he has never seen the water this low. “The water quality has not changed at all,” he emphasized. Though thunderstorms are forecast, there doesn’t appear to be a soaking rain in the foreseeable future. If the dry weather continues, he added, “the next step would affect businesses using water.”
It only makes sense for everyone to pitch in and conserve water because everyone will benefit in the long run. You can visit Eartheasy.com to see simple ways to conserve water.[/private]
