Lions Club Annual Penny Hunt
The Hoosick Lions Club Annual Penny Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 31, at 1 pm at Wood Memorial Park. The Rain date is Saturday, April 7.
There will also be a raw egg tossing contest. Prizes are awarded to winners of the Hunt and the Toss.

SVFD Corned Beef Dinner Was Packed
With generous donations and assistance from Kilventon Fruit & Produce, Hilltown Pork, the Eastwick Press, Jiminy Peak and volunteers from Boy Scout Troop #222, the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Department held its 14th Annual Corned Beef Dinner on Saturday, March 17.

Grafton Town Board Report Correction
The Grafton Ambulance report in the Town Board meeting report in the March 16 Eastwick said that Beth Wagar had resigned from the Squad, which is not correct. She sent a letter saying that she could no longer respond to calls either as a driver or EMT, but she remains an auxiliary member and will continue to go to all meetings and stay involved.
Letter To The Editor – A Hidden Agenda?
To the Editor:
I was dismayed to read your account of the Hoosick Town Council meeting held on February 29. Apparently, the Council voted to suspend the process of hiring an engineering/architectural firm to study the cost of keeping the Armory as the Town Hall, versus building a new building. This action was taken based on the unexplained advice of the absent Town lawyer, despite clear evidence that the Request for Proposal process was completely legal and untainted.
