At the Berlin Town Board meeting on Thursday, November 10, Highway Superintendent Jim Winn said that the Department had “been playing in everything – dirt, sand and snow” over the past month. The Department has been plowing snow, has been finishing up the grading and gravelling and is starting to draw sand for winter use. Friends Of The Cheney Library Dinner
Friends of the Cheney Library invite you to Dine Out to Help Out. On December 7, between 5 and 8 pm the Hoosick Falls Diner will donate a portion of the night’s proceeds to expand programs and services offered by the Cheney Library to our community. There will be a 50/50 Raffle and Book Basket Raffles held during the evening. Special thanks is given to the Falls Diner for their generous offer. You will also have an opportunity to join the Friends of Cheney Library group. So please join us for an evening of fun and food that will benefit our community.
Book Sale At Grafton Library
The Grafton Community Library is holding a book sale on Saturday, December 3, from 8 am until 1 pm. Stock up on books for winter reading at bargain prices. Hardcover books cost one dollar, and paperbacks cost fifty cents. Remaining VHS tapes are free.

Petersburgh Library News
The Petersburgh Public Library invites the public to join in the Library’s craft programs. On Saturday, December 3, from 10 am to noon the public can come to the Library to make a felted holiday ornament. Please sign-up at the Library so we can have supplies for everyone. On Saturday, December 10, from 10 am to noon our monthly drop in crafts continue with the making of a snowman. Stop by and take home a decoration to brighten the winter months.

Boy Scout Troop 222 To Sell Christmas Wreaths
Boy Scout Troop 222 from Petersburgh will be selling Christmas wreaths and TV raffle tickets on Sunday, November 27, at the Stewart’s in Berlin (Rt. 22) from 9 am to 2 pm. We hope the community will come out and support their local Boy Scout troop. New boys are always welcome to join the troop.
Local Thrift Store Open Two Extra Days In December
Local Girl Scouts will once again open the Thrift Store on the first Friday and Saturday of the month. The hours are Friday, December 2, from 4 to 7 pm and Saturday, December 3, from 9:30 am to noon. The shop is also open weekly on Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm.

The Grafton Fire Auxiliary Presents Toys For Town Tots Dinner And Dance
Join your family and friends in celebrating the season! Enjoy a delicious roast beef dinner prepared by Giuliano’s Catering, festive dance music by local DJ Kevin Beaudoin and help children in your own community have a wonderful holiday by bringing an unwrapped toy! This event is on Friday, December 2,at the Grafton Fire/VFW Hall, County Route 85. The Doors Open at 6:30 pm and Dinner is served at 7. Dancing lasts until midnight.
